“PROSPEROUS ARMENIA” PARTY CONDOLES THE FAMILIES AND RELATIVES OF THE VICTIMS

By the consequences of sad incidents that took place on March 1–2 in 2008, 10 citizens of our state died. “Prosperous Armenia” Party condoles the families and relatives of the victims.

At the same time we also express our anxiety towards the political speculation of March incidents, deliberate actions and initiatives for deepening the enmity and intolerance among our society.

The deepening of enmity and intolerance atmosphere can seriously distort normal social life. “Prosperous Armenia” has always been acting from the positions of affirming the civil understanding and tolerance. No confrontation but civil solidarity and dialog–this is the principle position of “Prosperous Armenia” Party.

We are sure that only with the help of civil understanding and dialog between political forces it is possible to overcome the challenge that our country and its citizens face now, to assist to the affirmation of national unity atmosphere in the Republic of Armenia  and realize the innermost goal of all of us-to have a prosperous country.

NOW 27 DEPUTIES OF “PROSPEROUS ARMENIA” PARTY REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF RA CITIZENS IN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

The deputy elected from Gyumri Martun Grigoryan is now a member of “Prosperous Armenia” Party.

Martun Grigoryan now has an opportunity to participate in “Prosperous Armenia” Party faction sessions. Thus, there are now 27 members of “Prosperous Armenia” Party in NA.

Martun Grigoryan mentioned during “Prosperous Armenia” Party faction’s session in NA, that the ideology and activities of PAP are very cordial for him and from now on all his positions will be consonant to the activities of “Prosperous Armenia” Party.

Martun Grigoryan was born on January 10, 1981. In 2004 he graduated from the Yerevan State Economic University, finance and credit department. In 2006 Martun Grigoryan was elected as a president of Wrestling Federation of Shirak region. On May 12, 2007 Martun Grigoryan was elected as NA deputy from 34 electoral district. Martun Grigoryan is married and has 3 children.

ARMENIAN WRESTLERS OF GRECO-ROMAN TYPE OF WRESTLING WON THE THIRD PLACE AMONG THE LIST OF 8 BEST TEAMS OF THE WORLD.

The president of Armenian National Olympic Committee, the leader of “Prosperous Armenia” Party Gagik Tsarukyan highly encourages athletes who showed  great results during  republic and international competitions. Armenian athletes who won the third place during team competition of world cup which took place in Clemon Feran(France),were also encouraged by the president of Armenian National Olympic Committee.

Sportsmen Shavigh Grigoryan, Artak Harutyunyan, Sasun Ghambaryan, Khosrov Melikyan, Arsen Julfalakyan, Arthur Shahinyan, Arman Geghamyan and Yuri Patrikeev led by their coach Levon Julfalakyan, were playing under the banner of Armenian national flag. The combined team of our wrestlers was at the 8th place by its rating, but  owing to  a united struggle and efforts of the wrestlers our team won the third place among the 8 best teams.

This unprecedented success couldn’t  escape of ANOC president Gagik Tsarukyan’s attention.  In spite of the late hour Mr. Tsarukyan himself met at “Zvartnots” airport armenian athletes, who returned from France with medals.

“I am sure, that we are ready for all competitions, we will always win. Steps are already being undertaken and they are noticeable not only in Armenia but also in the whole world. What was neglected years before now is being brought back.  I greet our athletes who returned with a victory, feeling that they are very inspired. They struggled for the victory and once more showed their might.  Nothing is impossible, if there is wish, aspiration, will, hard work and result. The athletes are guided by this principle, and we must evaluate their work”, said ANOK president Gagik Tsarukyan in his interview to the reporters.

The leaders of Armenian wrestling federation are going to give cash awards worth of 3000 USD to the athletes who won  bronze medals during the competition in France.

A WARM HOMAGE EVENING DEVOTED TO THE KING OF THE RINGS

The 80th anniversary of the king of the rings and thrice champion of Olympic Games Albert Azaryan was celebrated on February 17 at Opera and Ballet Academic theatre. This beautiful and exciting homage evening was a present from ANOC president Gagik Tsarukyan to Albert Azaryan. Everybody   was excited and the king of the rings frankly answered that his excitement is boundless and immense. Even when gaining victories at Olympic Games he was not so excited as he is now.

The congratulation speech of “Prosperous Armenia” Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan, who highly appraised the greatest athlete, was accepted with a storm of applause by the audience.

”We are all very proud that we have such a consummate master of sports who is our compatriot. Each of us should be able to appraise and glorify the great people of our nation, who left their distinctive manuscript in Armenian history. Nothing is impossible if there is will, aspiration, hard work, result and of course appreciation. With his devotion and hard work Albert Azaryan realized all this and now the time for appreciation has come. And we must glorify our great people. It is impossible to astonish anyone with anything nowadays but with respect, attention and care. We must teach our youth and bring them up with such spirit that will let them understand and be able to appreciate the work of our great people, learn from them and try to exceed the results of their predecessors”, mentioned ANOC president in his speech, wishing long years of life, huge ability to work and young might.

ANOC president Gagik Tsarukyan awarded the great athlete with “Trdat Mets” medal and also with “Jeep” car.

SPEECH OF “PROSPEROUS ARMENIA” PARTY LEADER GAGIK TSARUKYAN ADDRESSED TO THE FOURTH CONGRESS PARTICIPANTS

“Prosperous Armenia” Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan mentioned that the last two years period could be assessed to be hard and full of events. Participating in the elections of National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia for the first time in 2007 “Prosperous Armenia” Party received a serious support and trust of our nation.  In a short period of time “Prosperous Armenia” could become one of the influential political powers of our country, the authority and credence of which continues to grow. In 2008 presidential elections the candidate supported by us won and became the President of the country. Coalition government was formed, where “Prosperous Armenia” Party obtained three portfolios for the ministerial positions.

“Prosperous Armenia” is faithful to principles declared by Coalition, and we are closely collaborating with our partners from Coalition. Today again from this tribune I reaffirm our support towards the profound reforms taking place in our country, towards the decisiveness of Mr. Serzh Sargsyan and towards the carried out policy. And having in mind the part of the responsibility we bear, from now on we’ll continue again to bring our contribution to the strengthening and prosperity of the Republic of Armenia”,- mentioned Mr. Tsarukyan in his speech.

The issue of world financial-economic crisis was also touched upon in Gagik Tsarukyan’s speech.  “We must realize the world crisis makes the present situation worse and worse. In these conditions we find it inadmissible all the efforts of increasing the tax burden on tax payers. As a rule in such cases just the opposite must happen, and we have talked about it many times”,-stated Mr. Tsarukyan and added that the bank credit system in Armenia for the businesses should be reconsidered; the percent rates should be decreased; state supported programs towards domestic producers should be implemented.

Mr . Tsarukyan also mentioned the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is his speech. “In 2008 negotiation efforts around Karabakh Conflict Settlement became noticeably active. That inspires a careful optimism about achieving a realistic progress during the negotiation phase. The final resolution of Karabakh Conflict should stem from the interests of Armenian Nation. That is; the Independence of Nagorno Karabakh is irrevocable reality and it is the obligation of each of us to work towards international recognition of the problem”, added Mr. Tsarukyan.

Another part of Mr. Tsarukyan’s speech was devoted to Armenian-Turkish relations. Gagik Tsarukyan mentioned that 2008 was also remarkable for some progress recorded in Armenian Turkish relationships.  “We welcomed Yerevan meeting of President Sargsyan and President Gül and the following diplomatic meetings of various levels. I think that both nations being neighbors, should have internationally accepted possibilities to establish relationships with each other and in the region there should be no closed borders”, added Gagik Tsarukyan.

The last part of Mr. Tsarukyan’s speech was devoted to the Party’s international collaboration and different problems with “Prosperous Armenia” Party. “During last period, with help of our consistent efforts we were successful enough to establish links with some of the influential political authorities of abroad. Last February we signed memorandum of cooperation with “Yedinaya Rossia” Russian Party, and another memorandum with Ukrainian Regions’ Party in December”.
Mr. Tsarukyan is absolutely sure that the high-level amicable and close relationships that have been established in between Chinese Communist Party and Prosperous Armenia Party will have a great contribution in mutually beneficial cooperation with such a powerful country not only in the sphere of politics, but also in the sphere of Economy, Education, Urban Development, Culture, Youth and many other spheres.

“I believe in myself, I believe in capabilities of each of you”, – said Gagik Tsarukyan to the participants of the Fourth Congress at the end of his speech and wished them good luck.
