The constituent congress of “Prosperous Armenia” Party took place on April 30, 2004 which initiated the beginning of Party’s activity.

The founder and the leader of Party is the deputy of Armenian National Assembly Gagik Tsarukyan.

The second congress of “Prosperous Armenia” Party took place on May 13, 2006. Several questions were discussed among which was Party’s two-year activity, also many suggestions were made upon future projects and primary tasks.

The third special congress of Party took place on February 15, 2007. The congress appraised as satisfactory “Prosperous Armenia” council’s activity during the accounting period. During this special congress the report of political council, the endorsement of new faction’s project, the election of Party’s  political council and  management members were discussed.

The deputy of Armenian National Assembly Gagik Tsarukyan was unanimously re-elected as a president of “Prosperous Armenia” Party. The congress also elected 35 members of “Prosperous Armenia” political council and 5 members of audit committee.
The purpose of “Prosperous Armenia” Party is participating in the social and political life of the Republic. Conducing its activity the party encourages the idea of free and democratic elections in RA as well as the idea of civil society and establishment of new institutions.

“Prosperous Armenia” is a party of civil reconciliation. Being guided by the common truth that a human being is the utmost value, the party shall aim its activity at the accomplishment of the motto “Beside a man, by means of a man and for a man”.

The fourth congress of “Prosperous Armenia” Party took place on February 12, 2009. Honorable state officials as well as guests, who came from abroad, greeted the participants of the fourth congress.  The delegates of the congress unanimously elected Gagik Tsarukyan as a president of “Prosperous Armenia” Party. Two statements were accepted towards the internal political situation in Armenia and towards the solution Nagorno-Karabakh conflict process. The newly elected Political council staff (93 members) and Party control commission were affirmed.
