-How do you assess the outgoing political year?

-In political terms, the year in general can be regarded as calm, despite some political activity. In economic terms, the year was a little tenser. It was obvious impact of the global financial crisis. For this reason, throughout the year were important in particular activities aimed at the post-crisis rehabilitation. But I would like to talk more about our sporting achievements.
In the sporting sense year for us can be considered one of the most successful years. Our athletes have successfully acted in major sports disciplines, and in this year also returned home with a rich collection of medals. One of the important commemorative events in the past year was 20 years of NOCA. The main ideology of the Olympic movement is to spread among the masses Sport and the Olympic ideas. In the 2010 in our country on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of NOCA were plenty of sports activities, which involved thousands of young people. In November the anniversary was celebrated with great chic. The leaders and representatives of the Olympic committees from about 30 countries of the world came to congratulate us. Hear about the country one, come and see for yourself is another. All foreigners coming to Armenia and see the warm attitude and hospitality of our people change their attitude towards us. Today the sport has become one of the areas to raise awareness about our nation in the world. I am happy that our athletes have performed brilliantly in this important mission, a great pride when at the world and European championships tricolor raised and anthem of our country heard. It is truly a joy, Armenian sports fans expects only victories from our competitors. Like important acquisition of our work last year, I would note the return of people to the sport. Nothing can compare with those feelings that were in the entire nation from victory of Tigran Martirosyan, who become the world champion in Turkey, holding high the country’s sporting honor. Or win of Nazik Avdalyan in the 2009. We finally got a taste of victory, thanks to our athletes in different parts of the world Armenian flag rises up and anthem played. Our people today in separate sports are just waiting for victories of our athletes. This is positive acquisition about which is needed to say. Sport in our country is one of those areas where we can see the conspicuous development and progress. Our task, as President of the Olympic committee is to maintain this development and progress and develop further.

New cardiology center is opened in the medical center “Erebuni”

Cardiology Center equipped with the latest technology was opened in the medical center “Erebuni”. The leader of PAP Gagik Tsarukyan, accompanied by Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan and director of the medical center “Erebuni” Arthur Rostomyan walked through the new center, became acquainted with the work performed. Mr. Tsarukyan also met with medical staff and answered their questions. Director of the medical center “Erebuni” Arthur Rostomyan welcomed the leader of PAP Gagik Tsarukyan, Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan and medical staff. “Thanks to the fund «Gagik Tsarukyan” in all regions provided the conditions for doctors, health centers are provided with medicines and necessary equipment, “- said Mr. Rostomyan.

THE CANDIDATE OF “PROSPEROUS ARMENIA” PARTY FOR CITY MAYOR ELECTIONS IS HARUTYUN KUSHKYAN

The press speaker of “Prosperous Armenia” Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan Khachik Galstyan met with the reporters in “Pastark” club on March 11. The elections of Yerevan alderman were in the focus of attention of all who were present. Khachik Galstyan informed everyone that about 10 candidates were suggested in Political council. In the elections of city councilor these candidates were supposed to be at the top of the list proposed by “Prosperous Armenia” Party.

”The candidacy of RA minister of Health, PAP Political council member Harutyun Kushkyan was affirmed by “Prosperous Armenia” Party. He is a doctor by profession, is working as RA minister of Health for several years and can display the most productive work as Yerevan city mayor”, mentioned Khachik Galstyan in his speech.

The press speaker of PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan mentioned that “Prosperous Armenia” Party will take part in city mayor elections with its 100 member list. “Over one third of RA citizens live in Yerevan, more than 100 candidates are proposed in our list”,- added Khachik Galstyan.

During press conference Khachik Galstyan also informed the reporters that “Prosperous Armenia” Party respects all the member-parties of political coalition, as well as opposition candidates who take part in Yerevan alderman elections and is ready to participate in these elections in the conditions of healthy competition. “Prosperous Armenia” Party is going to use its institutional resources for transparent and equitable conducting of mayor elections”, added Khachik Galstyan.

To the question of the reporters about how can be stipulated the fact of recent active membership of especially young people to “Prosperous Armenia” Party, Khachik Galstyan answered that it is true that recently there has been registered an active membership to “Prosperous Armenia” Party and there are many young people among those members. “I think it can be explained by the reason that Gagik Tsarukyan is always standing beside young people, shows his assistance, promotes the implementation of different youth-student projects”, said Khachik Galstyan.
