Gagik Tsarukyan “The victory of our athletes is a victory and the pride of our nation”

On 27th September the Armenian national team participating in the World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya returned to Yerevan.

Tigran Martirosyan became world champion and in his honor the Armenian flag was raised in Turkey and the anthem was heard.

THE NUMBER OF PROFESSIONALS OF INTERNATIONAL SPORTS IN ARMENIA IS INCREASED BY 13 PERSPECTIVE ATHLETES.

Armenian National Olympic Committee and its president Gagik Tsarukyan highly appraise the athletes who showed impressive results. Upon the order of Ra minister of Sports and Youth affairs Armen Grigoryan, 13 representatives of 5 sports (weightlifting, boxing, athletics, ushu-karate and sambo) were given a title of RA professionals in international sports.  

The president of ANOC Gagik Tsarukyan honored the athletes with certificates and badges and congratulated them. From now on Sergey Sevyan (Ushu), Sasun Hayrapetyan (Ushu), Arsen Sargsyan (long jump), Lilit Poghosyan (Sambo), Vachik Vardanyan (Sambo), Janna Vardanyan (Sambo), Emin Aslanyan (Sambo), Ruben Aleksanyan (Weightlifting), Arakel Mirzoyan (Weightlifting), Aram Andrikyan (Weightlifting), Ara Khachatryan (Weightlifting), Eduard Hambartsumyan (Boxing) and Tsolak Anannikyan (Boxing) have a rank of professionals in international sports.
